NSBA regrets to announce that Peter Frost, of Maple Plain, Minnesota, passed away on July 25 at the age of 69.
Peter is survived by his wife, Helen (Redekopp) Frost, as well as his son, Kristian Frost and sisters Kristine Frost, Jensine (David) Moyer, and his nephew Kristian Moyer and niece Viktoria Moyer.
After earning an associate degree in restaurant management, he attended Rawhide Vocational College in Bonsall, California, where he met Helen. He earned a horse and animal sciences and animal husbandry degree, and also earned a master farrier degree from Bud Beaston’s School in Sperry, Oklahoma. Peter was known as an incredible teacher who was loved and respected by all of his clients and associates, and also for his ten years as a youth hockey coach while his son Kristian was playing.
Peter was inducted into the Pinto Horse Association Hall of Fame as Professional Horseman of the Year in 2014.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Frost Training Stables, 6065 County Road 11, Maple Plain, Minnesota, 55359, on August 6, 2022, with a gathering at 1:00 p.m. and a service at 2:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served following the service. Guests are invited to dress casually for the services, which will be held in the arena, and bring your best “Peter stories” to share.
